Men Charged After Weekend Home Invasion Due in Court

Two Eskasoni men are due in Port Hawkesbury court today after a home invasion in Richmond County early yesterday morning.

RCMP say two men broke into a home on Highway 320 between Louisdale and Arichat just after 1:00.

They add the owner of the home was assaulted by being hit with a gun.

They go on to say two shots were fired inside the home, causing damage.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries and later released.

Police say no one else inside the home was injured.

They also say man who was attacked knows his attackers.

A 20 year-old man and 23-year-old man both faces charges of robbery, assault with a weapon and firearm offences.
