Membertou, Province Collaborating On Regional Hospital Access Road

The province and Membertou Development Corporation have reached a deal to share the cost of a second main access road to the Regional Hospital in Sydney.

Under a memorandum of agreement, Membertou will design and build the road.

The province will own it and be responsible for maintenance and snow clearing.

The new access road will be located off the 125 Sydney Bypass at the Churchill Drive exit and will also allow Membertou to develop its commercial property.

The province is contributing up to $2.5 million toward construction of the new road.
