Membertou Chief Terry Paul Named a Member of Order of Canada

Membertou Chief Terry Paul has been named a Member of the Order of Canada.

Paul is among 99 new appointments announced to the Order on this eve of Canada Day.

The list includes Prince Charles who’s being promoted to a companion of the Order of Canada, the highest level.

Also on the list is six-time Stanley Cup champion Mark Messier and Christine Sinclair, the captain of Canada’s national women’s soccer team.

They’re being named officers of the Order of Canada.

Today’s honorees will be invited to accept their order at a ceremony to be held at a later date.
