Meeting Tonight To Set Up Northside Food Buying Group

A meeting is taking place in Sydney Mines tonight to launch a new bulk food buying group on the Northside.

The proposed club will buy all types of food at wholesale prices, based on orders submitted by its members.

Area food banks, seniors clubs and New Dawn Enterprises are behind the proposed group.

The goal is to place orders for organizations as well as individuals.

It’s hoped the group will be up and running in time for the summer growing season.

The meeting is due to get underway at 6:00 this evening at the Sydney Mines Pensioners Club.
