The Cape Breton Regional Library says the Library Board has recommended closing the Florence branch.

The Regional Library says usage of the Florence Library has decreased by 63 percent since 2017.

It say the downturn got worse during the COVID-19 pandemic and it continues.

Tonight’s meeting is scheduled to get underway at 7:00 at the Florence Legion.
