The six-person council votes for a warden from among its ranks.
And, two-thirds of council has to support a vote to remove the warden.
Councillor John Dowling says MacQuarrie has failed to consult council on several important issues and misrepresented councillors’ views in public.
Meanwhile, MacQuarrie says she’s shocked by the move.
She says she wants a decision on her removal postponed until she can have a proper review.
