Meat Cove Manhunt Ends With MacKinnon Turning Himself In

The RCMP says Perry MacKinnon has safely been brought into custody after a three-day manhunt in Meat Cove.

Police say MacKinnon ran into the woods with a gun after officers tried to arrest him on multiple warrants on Monday.

The Mounties then searched for him on the ground and by air using a plane and a helicopter equipped with a thermal imaging camera.

People in the area were advised to stay indoors and wait for updates from police.
