A Glace Bay man accused of being an accessory after the fact in the murder of Laura Jessome from Bras d’Or is due back in court today to set trial dates on the charge and unrelated charges. 50-year-old Robert Edwin Matheson is also facing counts of robbery and armed robbery. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing on those charges during a court appearance, last week. Matheson is accused of using a shotgun and a pistol to rob a Sydney jewelry store and with robbing the Sydney River branch of the CIBC. Both incidents occurred in May of 2012. He continues to be on remand.
