Math Teacher Charged With Child Luring Due in Sydney Court, Today

A Sydney Academy math teacher charged with three counts of child luring is due back in court today to enter pleas.

40 year-old Jason David Pentecost from Westmount is accused of communicating with two girls under the age of 18 by computer for the purpose of sexual exploitation and corrupting morals.

The girls in the case are 16 and 17 years old.

Pentecost was arrested at his home in June.

Regional Police say they seized electronic devices as part of their investigation.

Pentecost has been released on conditions and the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board says he’s been removed from the classroom.
