Mary Ann Falls Road Closing

Parks Canada says a decision has been made to permanently close a secondary road to vehicle traffic near the Cabot Trail in the Highlands National Park.

Mary Ann Falls Road was closed in 2021 after a series of washouts made it impassable and repeated attempts were made to repair it.

Parks Canada says the decision to close it permanently comes after what’s being called continuous, irreparable damage from weather.

The road to the falls will be converted to a hiking and mountain biking trail that’s expected to open during the 2024 visitor season.
