Marlowe Meets With Call Centre Workers

The new owner of the former ServiCom call centre met with about 350 former workers from the Sydney operation, last night.

Iowa businessman Anthony Marlowe won Tuesday’s bidding war for the call centre in U-S bankruptcy court.

Marlowe is promising workers the same wage rates and improved benefits.

He says managers will be back at the renamed Sydney Call Centre Inc. next week.

The rest of the workers will start in the first week of January.

He says all the approximately 600 workers will be offered their jobs back.
