Premier Stephen McNeil says the Marconi Campus of the Community College will be moving to downtown Sydney.
McNeil made the announcement at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion in Sydney this morning.
McNeil says the province will study moving the Marconi Campus to downtown Sydney in three phases.
The first phase includes consultations with the Nova Scotia Community College, Cape Breton University and the Regional Municipality.
It will also identify potential uses for the current Marconi Campus once a new campus has been built.
The second phase will identify potential sites in downtown Sydney.
The third phase will review options for construction and determine the estimated costs.
