Marconi and CBU Evacuated Because of Bomb Threat

The Marconi Campus of the Nova Scotia Community College and Cape Breton University next door have been evacuated this morning because of a potential bomb threat.

Regional Police say they got the call about a bomb threat at the Marconi Campus shortly before 8:00, this morning.

They add their investigation continues.

Meanwhile, classes are cancelled for the day at the Marconi Campus while Cape Breton University says its campus is currently closed due to the lockdown.

The IT Campus of the community college in Halifax has also been evacuated this morning because of a bomb threat.

The NSCC says the status of today’s classes at the IT Campus has yet to be determined.
