by RCMP say the man who had barricaded himself inside a home on Old Route 5 in Big Bras d’or was taken into custody, early this morning.
And police say Old Route 5 has reopened in that area.
There’s no word yet on possible charges.
People in the area were evacuated as a precaution last night and the public was asked to stay away.
The Mounties said no one else was inside the home but they weren’t sure if the man was armed.
