Man Seriously Hurt In Ingonish Crash

Ingonish RCMP say a 28 year-old Dingwall man was airlifted to Halifax hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries after his car left the road early yesterday morning.

Police say they got called to Beach Road in Ingonish shortly after 3:00.

They say the car the man was driving left the road and hit some trees.

He was thrown out of the car and pinned under it.

The car was lifted off him with the help of a Parks Canada backhoe.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
