Man Pleads Guilty to Break and Enters

One of two men charged after Regional Police released security camera footage of a break-in in George’s River pleaded guilty yesterday.

29- year-old Colan Foster Lohnes from Lingan Road will now be sentenced on two counts of break, enter and theft.

One of the charges relates to the Georges River incident while the other is in connection with an incident on Kings Road in Sydney River.

Lohnes will remain on remand at the Cape Breton Correctional Centre until his sentencing on Sept. 23.

The other man charged in the George’s River case has been released on conditions.

27-year-old Jason Christopher Turner from Sydney Mines, is charged with break, enter and theft and possession of stolen property.

 He elected to be tried by judge alone during a court appearance last month and is due back in court on March 23rd for a preliminary hearing.
