Man Killed In New Waterford ATV Crash Identified

The man killed in an ATV crash in New Waterford early yesterday morning has been identified through social media.

49 year old Robbie Chaisson was the former head coach of the Cape Breton University men’s soccer team.

The team sent out a tweet this morning saying their hearts and prayers go out to the Chiasson Family as they mourn the loss of their former coach

Chaisson was a phys ed teacher at Greenfield Elementary in River Ryan.

Police say they got called to James Street in New Waterford at around 4:00, yesterday morning.

They say the man who was driving the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
