Man In Custody After Domestic Dispute Call

Cape Breton Regional Police have a man in custody after responding to a call about a domestic dispute in Sydney, yesterday evening.

Police say they were called to a home on Crescent Street at 6:18.

They add when officers arrived, a 58-year old woman told them her 62 year old husband had showed up with a shot gun in his vehicle.

They say she ran from the area and called police.

Police later tracked the man down at his home on Edgewater Drive in Sydney.

They surrounded the home and the man surrendered after speaking to a police negotiator by phone.

He’s being held at Central Lockup and police say their investigation is continuing.
