Man Found In Water In Glace Bay Pronounced Dead In Hospital

Regional Police say a man found near a vehicle partially submerged in water in the Lake Road area of Glace Bay, yesterday afternoon was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Police say the 22-year-old was from Glace Bay,

They say the vehicle has been seized for mechanical inspection as part of the ongoing investigation into what they’re calling a single-vehicle collision.

Police say they got the call to the property that used to belong to the heavy water plant at around 2:30.

Deputy Regional Fire Chief Chris March says members from the Glace Bay and Tower Road fire departments helped remove the man from the water.
