Man Facing Host Of Charges After Eskasoni Stabbing

Eskasoni RCMP say a 34 year-old Eskasoni man is facing a host of charges after a weekend stabbing in the community.

The Mounties say they got called to a report of a stabbing on Shore Road at 4:15 on Saturday Morning.

They say officers found a 31-year-old man who was stabbed in the upper abdomen and suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Police say they seized a knife, clothing and DNA after searching a Shore Road home.

Later that morning, 34-year-old James Robert Morris Jr. was arrested on Mountain Road.

He’s facing charges of aggravated Assault, two counts each of uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as three counts each of mischief and breach of probation and two counts of failure to comply with release conditions.
