Man Facing Drug Charge After Sydney Bypass Traffic Stop

RCMP say a 45-year-old Sydney man is facing a drug charge after a traffic stop on the 125 Sydney Bypass in Coxheath on Tuesday night.

The Mounties says the vehicle the man was in was pulled over after it was clocked doing 126 km/hr in a 100-zone at around 8:20.

They say the officer noticed drugs in the vehicle and the man and a 21 year-old Sydney woman who was the driver were arrested.

Police say they seized cocaine after searching the vehicle.

The woman was given a speeding ticket and police say the man is due in court in April on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
