Man Facing Charges After 2-Vehicle Crash In Sydney

A 36-year-old man is facing a number of charges after Regional Police say they caught him after he ran away from a vehicle crash in Sydney on Sunday.

Police say they got called to a two-vehicle crash on Cottage Road at around 6:30 in the evening.

They say witnesses reported seeing a man and woman run from one of the vehicles and officers later caught and arrested the man on Rockdale Avenue.

William Aaron Hickey was charged with Failure to Stop after an Accident, Failure to Comply with a breath sample demand, Resisting a Peace Officer, and Failure to Attend Court on previous charges.

The woman was released without charges and police say the person in the second vehicle was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
