Man Dead in Drowning Accident

Cape Breton Regional Police say a 44-year-old man is dead after a drowning accident near Juniper Mountain yesterday.

Police say they were called to Grand Mira South Road after 2:20pm where paramedics were working on an unconscious man.

Police also say witnesses said the man was in the water with his sister and a Sea-Doo was involved.

It is unknown if the man was driving the Sea-Doo or not. Police are calling this a tragic accident.

His identity has not been disclosed.

The sister was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
