Man Dead After Lingan Road Crash

Regional Police are continuing to investigate a single vehicle accident on Lingan Road yesterday that left a 59-year-old man dead.

Police say they got the call to the scene near the former radar base shortly after 12:30 in the afternoon.

They add the man was pronounced dead at the scene but say his name and home community will not be released until all of his family is notified.

Police spokesperson Shannon Kerr says officers from the traffic safety and forensic identification units spent much of the day at the scene yesterday, trying to figure out the cause of the accident.
