by RCMP say a 31-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a pickup truck while walking along the Cabot Trail in Ingonish, early this morning.
Police say they got the call just before 4:00.
They say the man was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Ford F-150 was not hurt.
The highway remains closed while RCMP investigate.
