Man Charged With Second Degree Murder In Hillside Boularderie Suspicious Death

Regional Police have charged a man with second degree murder after what they were originally calling the suspicious death of a woman at a Hillside Boularderie home early yesterday morning.

40 year-old Sluaghan MacDonald from Sydney Mines was arrested at the scene and has been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre

Police say officers responded to a 911 call of a woman in medical distress at around 1:14 yesterday morning.

The woman was taken to the Regional Hospital in Sydney and later died from her injuries.

Her name has not been released and police say the investigation is ongoing.
