Man Charged With Second Degree Murder After Person Found Dead In Sydney Home

Regional Police have charged a 34 year-old man with second degree murder after a body was found inside a home on MacAulay’s Lane in Sydney on Tuesday. 

Police say Leonard Anthony Tenass is from New Brunswick, but is currently living in Sydney.

He was arrested at the scene on Tuesday and has been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre.

Police say they got called to the home at around 4:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday and found a body inside.

Police said earlier Tenass and the person found dead knew each other.

They say they continue to treat the murder as an isolated incident with no further risk to public safety.
