Man Charged With Killing SaraBeth Forbes Due Back in Court

The case of a 40 year-old Gardiner Mines man charged with the first degree murder of his common-law partner is due back in court today for a status hearing.

 

Richard Wayne McNeil was arrested at the scene after police found the body of 33 year-old SaraBeth Ann Forbes in the couples’ home on Tuesday of last week.

 

Regional Police say they got a 911 call to 87 O’Brien Street at around noon.
Forbes worked as a teacher’s aid at Tompkins Elementary in Reserve Mines, and her son Devon goes to the school.
McNeil is being held in custody to await today’s court appearance.
