Man Charged In Fredericton Shooting Due In Court

The man charged with four counts of first-degree murder after the shooting in Fredericton earlier this month is due to make his first court appearance, this morning.

48 year-old Matthew Vincent Raymond is accused of killing Bobbie Lee Wright, Donnie Robichaud, and Fredericton police officers Sara Burns and Robb Costello.

Burns and Costello were shot to death after they got called to an apartment building near the city’s downtown core where there were reports of shots being fired.

Police say other officers got into a gun battle with the shooter.

They say he was shot in the abdomen after he was spotted in an apartment window.
