Man Charged After Sydney Stabbing Due Back In Court

A man charged after a 17 year-old girl was stabbed in Sydney last month is due back in court today to enter pleas.

 44 year-old Brian Michael Costigan faces counts of Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Assaulting a Peace Officer.

He was arrested after Regional Police say the girl was stabbed after a confrontation with a man and woman in the Sheriff Avenue/Townsend Street area on May 12th.

Police say the girl knows the man and woman.

33 year-old Jolene Rita Snow was charged with breaching court conditions and is due back in court on Tuesday.

Both Costigan and Snow have been released on conditions.
