Man Charged After Kempt Head Fatal Crash Due in Court, Today

An Edwardsville man charged after a fatal August car crash in Kempt Head is due back in court today to enter pleas.

25 year-old Christopher William Copan faces counts of impaired driving causing death and driving with a blood/alcohol level above the legal limit causing death.

He was arrested at the scene after a single-vehicle crash on Kempt Head Road.

RCMP say a 22-year-old man who was a passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a 27-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, who were also passengers, were taken to the Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Copan continues his release on conditions.
