Man Charged After Disturbance At Centre 200

A 31-year-old man is facing a number of charges after Regional Police say he caused a disturbance at the lineup for COVID-19 testing at Centre 200 yesterday.

Police say they got a report at about 4:00 yesterday afternoon about a man yelling and throwing things at people standing in the lineup.

They were also told he pulled a knife out when someone tried to approach him before running away.

No one was injured.

Police say they found the man on Prince Street a short time later and also found a pocket knife on the ground nearby.

The man was taken to the Regional Hospital for assessment.

He’s facing charges of Causing a Disturbance, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and breaching probation.
