by Regional Police say a 48 year-old man was arrested in North Sydney today after a woman was seriously assaulted.
They say they got a call to the Pierce St. area just after the noon hour.
The woman’s injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.
The man, whose name hasn’t been released, has been charged with assault, forcible confinement and breach of an undertaking.
Police say the man and woman know each other.
An investigation is ongoing.
