Man Arrested For Impaired Driving In Downtown Sydney

A 34-year-old Truro man is facing impaired driving charges after Regional Police say they stopped a vehicle driving erratically in downtown Sydney, early this morning.

Police say they got called about a suspected impaired driver leaving the parking lot of the Capri Club at around 4:00.

Police say officers found the vehicle turn from Charlotte Street onto Prince Street at a high rate of speed.

They say it hit a curb on the Esplanade when it tried to turn around in the middle of the street.

They say the driver tried to get away when he was approached by officers and he was arrested.

Travis Leonard Kettle also faces two breach charges for violating court-ordered conditions in Truro and Newfoundland.
