Man Arrested After Attempted Armed Robbery In Sydney

Regional Police have a man in custody after an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store in Sydney, last night.

Police say they got the call to Mac’s Convenience on George Street shortly after 10 o’clock.

They add a man with his face covered and armed with a weapon came into the store and demanded money.

They go on to say he ran away after the clerk refused to give him anything.

Police say officers arrested a man matching the description of the suspect nearby, a short time later.
