Man and Woman Displaced After Point Aconi Road Fire

A woman and man in their 70’s have been forced from their home by a weekend fire that gutted the bungalow they rented near Point Aconi.

The pair was not hurt in the fire at 696 Point Aconi Road.

The blaze was reported at around noon on Saturday.

The Red Cross is helping the two with emergency lodging, food and clothes while they wait for a damage assessment from insurers.
