All three main party leaders are campaigning on the mainland on this third day of the provincial election.
Leader Gary Burrill announced in Dartmouth this morning an NDP government will permanently eliminate ambulance fees for all Nova Scotians.
He’s spending the rest of the day campaigning in the Halifax area.
Meanwhile, Progressive Conservative leader Tim Houston told media in Halifax this morning he won’t commit to removing ambulance fees because of concerns over ambulance call volumes if fees aren’t in place.
Houston also criticized the Liberal government’s record on healthcare and says his party has a better plan.
He’ll spend the rest of the day in the Annapolis Valley campaigning with P-C candidates.
And, Iain Rankin announced in Lawrencetown this morning a re-elected Liberal government will spend $45 million over five years to renew a program that encourages businesses to invest in the latest clean energy technology.
Rankin’s continuing to campaign in the Annapolis Valley, this afternoon.
