MacNeil to Enter Plea on Intimidating a Witness Charge

One of the Glace Bay men charged in the murder of Laura Jessome from Bras d’Or is due in court today to enter a plea on a charge of intimidating a witness in the case.

24 year-old Morgan James MacNeil is currently serving prison time on robbery charges.

He’s accused of threatening a witness who testified during a preliminary hearing for MacNeil and his co-accused Thomas Ted Barrett in June.

Both men are charged with second-degree murder in the case and have been committed to stand trial.

A trial date is due to be set this month.
