MacMaster & Lavery Getting Honourary ECMA’s

Cape Bretoners Natalie MacMaster and Fred Lavery will be picking up honourary awards at next month’s East Coast Music Awards.

Internationally renowned fiddler MacMaster who’s had a 40 year career in the music industry is being presented with the Director’s Special Achievement Award.

And Lavery will be honoured with the Stompin’ Tom Award for Cape Breton.

The ECMA’s say Lavery has been part of the East Coast music scene as a performer, songwriter, and record producer for more than three decades.

This year’s East Coast Music Award’s are taking place from May 3rd to 7th in Halifax.
