by Deputy Premier and Finance Minister Allan MacMaster is hoping to make a move from provincial to federal politics.
MacMaster says he’ll be seeking the Conservative nomination in the riding of Cape Breton-Canso-Antigonish in the next federal election.
He says he’ll be resigning from cabinet but will stay on as the MLA for Inverness.
He says he’ll resign his seat if he wins the nomination.
MacMaster has been the MLA for Inverness since 2009.
