Lost Man Rescued In Woods Near Kennington Cove

Regional Police say a 42-year-old man was successfully rescued in woods near Kennington Cove, last night.

Police say the man called for help at around 5:00 in the evening when he lost his way walking through the woods.

They say officers were able to use GPS coordinates from the man’s cell phone to help track his location that was more than 2 kilometres away from where he believed he was.

A police dog team found the man at around 7:30.

Police say the man was assessed by paramedics and he was found to be fine and well.
