Long Lake Wildfire Still Out Of Control

The Department of Natural Resources says the Long Lake wildfire in Annapolis County is still out of control and estimated at 3,210 hectares.

It says there are still no reports of damage to homes.

Crews are still working on dozer guards today and there are 52 DNR firefighters on scene along with 22 from Ontario and 39 from local fire departments.

Four planes from the Northwest Territories and 1 contracted helicopter are on scene this morning.

The Department says planes from Manitoba and helicopters from Saskatchewan should be arriving today with more Ontario firefighters arriving this evening.
