A 19 year-old Little Lorraine man is due in Sydney Court today after a high speed chase on the weekend that stretched between Sydney and Dominion. Cape Breton Regional Police say they spotted a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Prince St. in Sydney early Saturday morning. They add the vehicle continued speeding along the Sydney-Glace Bay Highway, ignoring commands to pull over. The vehicle finally stopped on Elm St. in Dominion, and police say the driver was caught after a brief foot chase. The suspect is facing charges of impaired driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and assault with a weapon, as well as flight from police and assault with intent to resist arrest.
