Liberals Critical of Nova Scotia Loyal Program

The Opposition Liberals say documents from the Department of Economic Development show close to $700,000 has been spent on the Nova Scotia Loyal program.

The Grits say most of the money has gone to a social media campaign and promotional trucks.

However, the party says the program has yet to provide any economic benefit for Nova Scotians.

The Progressive Conservative government launched Phase 1 of the Nova Scotia Loyal Program last June.

At the time, the government said that Phase of the buy local program would involve a team visiting stores and markets across the province last summer to research consumer behaviour.
