Lenore Zann Wins Federal Liberal Nomination

Former NDP MLA Lenore Zann has won the federal Liberal nomination in the riding of Cumberland Colchester.

The seat was left vacant after Liberal MP Bill Casey said he didn’t plan to re-offer in this fall’s federal election.

Zann left the NDP to sit as an independent when she announced her intention to run for the federal Liberals.

She’s one of four MLA’s making the move to federal politics.

Cape Breton Tories Alfie MacLeod and Eddie Orrell along with their party colleague Chris d’Entremont are all running for the Conservatives in October.
