Last flight out of Sydney Airport scheduled for tomorrow morning

The last flight out of Sydney’s JA Douglas McCurdy airport for the foreseeable future is scheduled to depart at 5:25 tomorrow morning.

Air Canada announced last month they’d be suspending air service to Sydney effective tomorrow; WestJet suspended service to the airport in November.

Over 5000 people have signed a petition in support of passenger air service at the airport, calling on Ottawa to provide financial support to the air industry during the pandemic.

People can find the petition here; signatures will be collected until January 20.
