Recommendations are being released today on how the province should address mental challenges faced by youth in Cape Breton.
The province asked for recommendations from Halifax-based psychiatrist Dr. Stan Kutcher following the recent suicides of three students in the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board.
Kutcher spent three days in Cape Breton in June and attended two public meetings where he talked with parents about depression, cyberbullying and other mental health concerns that have arisen following the teen suicides.
Kutcher will be joined by Health Minister Randy Delorey and Education Minister Zach Churchill when the recommendations are released at a news conference today.
