by The local children’s entertainer known as Klutzy the Clown spent the weekend at the Cape Breton Correctional Centre to await a court appearance, today.
51 year-old Dale Rancourt, from Gabarus faces one count each of sexual assault and sexual exploitation, and two counts of sexual interference involving a 15 year-old girl.
The charges stem from incidents that are said to have happened between July 15th and this fall.
Regional Police say Rancourt was arrested on the weekend for breaching four of his release conditions.
Police have released no more information about the arrest.
His release included a condition Rancourt not have any contact with anyone under the age of 18.
He’s due in court today to enter pleas on the original charges against him.
