Sydney-Glace Bay MP Mike Kelloway will be part of a parliamentary delegation traveling to Washington, DC.
Kelloway’s office says the delegation will be focused on advancing the country’s interests in Canada–United States relations for the benefit of businesses and workers on both sides of the border.
It says Kelloway will represent Canada’s transportation and internal trade priorities in discussions with US lawmakers in his role as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Transport and Internal Trade.
He’ll also take part in conversations on defence cooperation.
The delegation will also include a number of other Parliamentary Secretaries and chairs of Parliamentary committees.
The trip is being announced as Canada-US Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc heads to Washington this week to meet with US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer as the two countries prepare to review the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement on trade.
