Just Two Striking Chronicle-Herald Workers Left in Sydney

There are now just two striking Chronicle-Herald workers on the picket line in Sydney.

Tom Ayers says he and Erin Pottie are the only Herald reporters left outside its George Street Office.

He adds reporter Andrew Rankin had to move on to take another job.

January 23rd will mark the one-year anniversary of the strike and there’s no sign of an end to it.

The Chronicle Herald says it faces financial problems and needs concessions including wage cuts and layoffs.

The union accuses management of trying to break the local.
